When Sunny Gets Blue is a project about nothing.
Although nothing in its definition has no association or place in time, the nothing can also be the lack of something, the space in-between thoughts, silences, quiet reflections. The film conveys a strange sense of time, the feeling that time is passing but nothing is happening, however the nothing becomes poetic and nostalgic, reminiscent of an empty playground where a child goes to play, and after waits for someone to pick them up.
